Barbie Movie: First viewing

Don’t miss it!

“Barbie” didn’t trigger me newly because I am so deeply familiar with all the issues…. Some of the depictions of outright patriarchy made me laugh out loud because they were so absurd…. BUT…. It’s all there in pink and plastic and high heel shoes in ridiculously tiny feet.

It’s all there for those that aren’t aware, won’t be aware, and haven’t believed it’s truth and can now see it from this “in your face” cartoon-ish perspective.

But, really, this dynamic in our world makes me so angry…… I simply can’t get past the millions of daily nuances where it is still completely embedded.

All I can do is feel the pain and express……
